History

Albin Johansson started making furniture in Hyssna in 1920. He had a keen ear, and he listened to what his neighbours (his first customers) wanted and needed. Then he transformed raw wood into beautiful, functional, high-quality furniture. These qualities became the promise to the customers of the firm he started later. Albin took great pride in his work, which is why the company name also bears his name – Albin i Hyssna.

The values that underpinned Albin’s original firm still permeate the company and guide us in everything we do – from development and design work to our quality philosophy and focus on service. We just call it the ‘Albin culture’.
